Building a custom home can be extremely overwhelming and very stressful at times. Vicky Serany’s knowledge of products and professional expertise turned what could have been a very challenging task into a stress-free, enjoyable and exciting experience.

Prior to building, one of our greatest concerns was the amount of decisions you have to make especially when you build long distance and don't know any of the local vendors. Because of the relationship you've established with these vendors, our selection process felt very comfortable. Your knowledge of the products enabled us to stay within our allowances, which was very important to us. What could have been a very stressful time, actually turned out to be fun and enjoyable even for my husband. You listened to our thoughts and ideas and offered your input when needed. With your help, our home is everything we had hoped for. We can't thank you enough.

I am so very fortunate that my builder, Whitney Blair, Inc., uses the talents of Vicky Serany of Southern Studios in Raleigh to assist their clients making those very first important decisions concerning the interior and exterior colors for their homes and other matters of design that are necessary for the builder to begin his work. That first meeting was serendipitous! Vicky’s style is one of elegant simplicity and her discerning use and understanding of color spoke to me from the beginning. I immediately arranged for her to work with me throughout the building process and she is the reason that I love every aspect of my new home and that my family and friends find it to be welcoming and comfortable as well as beautiful.

Vicky listened to what was important to me and then led me through all those difficult and overwhelming decisions that are necessary in a timely manner. She designed the kitchen and pantry so that they are not only functional but the countertops, tiles, cabinets, finishes, light fixtures, simply everything, work together for a cohesive and lovely appearance. Not only in the kitchen but also in the bathrooms her tile, marble and granite selections are so delicately skillful and colors so perfect that I was constantly amazed at her abilities. From the outside of the house through all the interior spaces, the colors flow together and the attention to the many details such as lighting, moldings, floors, fixtures for baths and kitchen down to doorknob selections make the house pleasing to the eye. I never could have navigated the long and confusing trails through the building process without Vicky’s guiding hand and constant vigilance and ability to work not only with me but with all of the subcontractors involved in bringing a house and a dream to fruition.

I cannot praise Vicky’s talent too much or overstate my admiration for her ability to “see” a concept as reality. My extremely high opinion of Vicky’s skills is shared by the N.C. Home Builders Association who awarded my house their top honor for homes built in N.C. this year and stated that attention to detail in all the areas I have mentioned as well as additional ones was the deciding factor in their decision.

I love the way my house looks and I love the way it allows us to live both inside and out and I LOVE Vicky Serany for making it all happen!
