We began our Southern Studio Simplified journey in March with the idea of helping the community where we could during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. Anyone that consulted us for a Simplified project, we in turn volunteered our time as a team as our way of saying thank you!
What did this look like? After a bit of brainstorming, we decided to partner with the interior design program at Wake Technical Community College.
Our team was recruited to assist with the final evaluation for the student’s Capstone projects. The students had to complete a presentation and were evaluated on the elements of visual presentation, construction documents, and a virtual presentation. Let’s just say these projects were impressive — especially since they were completed during the quarantine period of the pandemic.
