It’s amazing how young people bring energy to life! This blog has suffered a bit this fall (creative and challenging projects have been keeping our days quite full), so it’s no surprise that it took some youthful energy to bring us back!
Last week, on the same day, we divided and conquered local interior design classes. Martha and Julia spent the morning critiquing class projects in the Interior Design II class at Meredith College. There’s some wonderful talent in the program led by Martha Burpitt (one of our favorites).
Vicky and Erica visited the Interior Design I classes at Panther Creek High School. The curriculum in the high school is impressive and so are the students! Their questions are thoughtful and the enthusiasm for design is contagious.
We have many mottos at the studio that we often share with students and interns. We just had to share a few:
Work Hard. Play Hard. (And the hard work has to come first.)
It’s all about the details. They make the difference in every project!
If you want the best projects, produce the best work!
Never stop learning.
Be creative. Be unique. But, always be professional.
Make it a habit to really think! Problem solving is a large part of every project!
Life is all about choices. Make good ones.
Wishing all of the students (and their dedicated teachers) a well-deserved holiday break filled with festive fun!
