Inspiration in the Studio

2017 is off to a great start! We are humbled and thrilled to be recognized for our work.

This is the best kind of email to open….Best of Houzz 2017 for Service and Design!  We’re honored to win in both categories.  Houzz has become the go-to source for anyone building or improving their homes. Be sure to check it out (and look for us too)!

What fun to receive back-to-back honors as we were awarded The Maggy Award by Cary Magazine for Best Interior Design Firm. Martha and I had a blast at the awards celebration at Tazza Kitchen. We’re thankful for our local friends for being our biggest cheerleaders.

Now we have just a bit of pressure!  It’s time to get back to work and make sure we live up to the expectations. Bring it on, 2017!

Each year we sponsor Cary’s Magazine‘s Women of Western Wake luncheon. It’s a beautiful event at the Umstead Hotel.  Why do we like this event?  Well, because…

…it’s a short escape from our fast pace to hear messages of inspiration and motivation from some impressive women who impact our local community.

…it’s an opportunity to invite a few women who help us in the studio on a daily basis. This year we enjoyed the company of a few of our vendor partners (and even one of our past interns).

…it’s a fabulous lunch at the five-star Umstead Hotel.

So thankful for this group of women! We couldn’t do what we do without them.

We are honored and humbled to take the top award for Best Interior Design Firm in this year’s Cary Magazine Maggy Awards!

The January issue of the magazine is filled with all of the local favorites (so many great restaurants and services). It was also exciting to be included in an Article on Life Advice by many of the winners. If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years in this business, it’s that passion and hard work usually pay off….but, we could never do what we do every day without amazing clients and a fantastic team of vendors! 2016 is off to a good start!

The latest issue of Cary Magazine includes our very own Martha Brown! Thirty young men and women, Movers and Shakers, who “represent fields ranging from health and law to food and design” were named by the magazine. Nancy Pardue, co-editor of the magazine, explains that “these are the people impacting Western Wake, both now and for the future.”

Everyone who knows Martha understands that she can definitely make beautiful things happen. And, we’re so glad we get to spend our days with her!

We so enjoyed an evening of celebration at the Maggy Awards! Cary Magazine sponsored the event which recognizes the Best of Western Wake and we were thrilled to be recognized for the fourth consecutive year.

We need to practice taking the perfect selfie, but had fun trying! Thanks to Cary Magazine for continuing to support the best of the best in our community.
