This season of holiday cheer has us looking for the positive and reminding us of our favorite holiday memories! We hope that by sharing some of our Studio family tips and traditions we might encourage you to create some extra special memories this season with your loved ones.
We are so excited to share! Last year (yes, we’ve had to wait an entire year to share), our gracious clients and friends gave us creative freedom to turn their beautiful home into a winter wonderland … southern style. We began by partnering with Weston Farms and Bowerbird Flowers to bring their magical touch to the design.
As Thanksgiving approaches and we gather with friends and family, albeit in smaller groups than years past, we still strive to make the holidays special. After sheltering in place for much of the year, each day, week, and month can start to feel the same, but we want to break up the monotony and take the moment to make meals with our loved ones extra special!
This Labor Day weekend we wanted to shine a spotlight on some of our favorite American-made manufacturers that we love to support! One of the most important elements we incorporate into our designs is quality craftsmanship ensuring our clients can enjoy their homes for many years to come.
LEE Industries creates high-quality home furnishings that are fully customizable to our designs in our home state of North Carolina.
We love using Dunes and Duchess lighting and furniture in brightly colored finishes as pops of color! These hand-turned, hand-finished pieces are always a fun addition to any home.

Lucy Smith‘s handcrafted metal furnishings are produced in Alabama, in collaboration with her family’s long time steel business.
Tracy Glover uses traditional Italian techniques to craft her artisan glass lighting. Each piece is handblown to order in her Rhode Island studio.

The Holiday Season is upon us and that includes lots of celebrating here at Southern Studio! We have been showered with generous and thoughtful gifts from clients, friends, partners and vendors and although the glorious abundance may lead to some obvious New Years Resolutions, we are enjoying every bit of it!
Connecting through cards and gifts is a wonderful reminder of the tremendous network of people and businesses we work with throughout the year to bring beauty and visions to life.
As a studio, we gathered at the lovely Fearrington House to celebrate together. We enjoyed an amazing meal, toasted our team and our families, and gave thanks for the blessings of the year.
And as 2018 comes to a close, we hope that in addition to beautiful design, community involvement, and charitable giving, most importantly, we spread Peace and Love to all we came in contact with.
