Inspiration in the Studio

Project Reveal :: Cary Classic, Part II

Today on the blog we are revealing Part II of our Cary Classic project! These are the secondary, yet essential spaces that make up the home. They are the unsung heroes of daily domestic life: the bathrooms, laundry room, and these days the more popular home office.

Most clients desire an elegant, calming master retreat and we feel like the results in this house were exactly that. A bold patterned bolster and window treatments are complemented by the surrounding soft color palette.

Project Reveal :: Cary Classic, Part I

We recently completed a renovation and install for a beautiful family – all completed during the height of the pandemic! Demo began on the main living space the week before the statewide stay at home order so they had a front row seat to the whole construction process.

This traditional family home was remodeled into the ever-desirable open concept floor plan. Without dividing walls between the kitchen and family room, gathering for the holidays will be a little more enjoyable this year!

A modern take on the classic blue and white duo gave this great room space a fresh face lift!

We carried this calming palette throughout the main floor also updating the dining room, music room, powder bath and office.

With finishing touches of silver and gold we think the results are pretty special!

Community Partnership Spotlight :: The Templeton of Cary

During the height of the statewide shut down we received a call about a new hospitality project! We are thrilled to work with community partners whenever we get the chance so we were honored to work with The Templeton of Cary in the designing of two model homes.

The Templeton of Cary is a brand new assisted living community not far from our studio! Our goal was to provide an inviting space to ease the transition from independent living to the community for new residents.

Project Reveal: A Pleasant Piece of Home, Part II

Last week on the blog we revealed the interior of this beautiful Cary home. This week we are focusing on the amazing outdoor living spaces!

Sometimes it’s a good thing when two worlds collide — the main living space opens completely to the outdoor dining space, which is separated from the indoor dining room by glass walls. Both spaces are flooded with natural light!

The seamless transition from outdoor kitchen, living and dining creates a space we could stay all night cozied up by the fire. Don’t miss the pizza oven and beer tap at the bar!

The spa and pool complete this peaceful retreat, making it the perfect stay-cation home!

If we’re not at the studio, you just might find us here during these hot summer days!

Project Reveal :: A Pleasant Piece of Home, Part I

Today we are revealing Part I of this Pleasant Piece of Cary home we recently completed for a beautiful family!  It’s always extra special when we work with clients on a second, or in this case, third home project. These friends (and clients) live life to the fullest, enjoy the creative process, and value great design…a combination that makes the entire process incredibly rewarding.

With a subdued color palette of neutrals throughout the home we were able to play with patterns and textures. Working from home doesn’t look so bad in this study with wrap-around windows providing a wealth of natural light.

The geometric patterns in the wallpaper, mirror, and hardware play well together in this powder room.

The master retreat provides a relaxing place to rest or cozy up with a book!

Everyday dining in this dining room takes on a touch of glam with the platinum details and pattern on the chair backs.

This living space is the definition of combined indoor-outdoor living! Fully retractable doors leading into the outdoor dining space is entertaining perfection.

As with any luxury construction project, it takes amazing clients and a team of craftspeople to bring the design vision to life….and we’re thankful to work with some of the best.
