Hot off the press! We are so excited to finally share a look into our Pattern Play project as seen in Home Design & Decor Magazine. After initially wrapping up this project the week before quarantine and carefully styling a socially-distanced photoshoot back in August, we’ve had this imagery under wraps, anxiously waiting for the big reveal.
What inspires you? When it came to renovating this West Raleigh home. originally built back in 2005, our team had the unique opportunity to draw inspiration from the homeowner’s extensive original art collection.

However, we did not use the art as a constraint, simply rather as a building block for colors, textures, and patterns throughout the home.

No detail was left untouched! We did things the Southern Studio way by selecting a bold trim for the sofa.

Our team (and our clients) find value in investing in fine art. Artwork has the ability to tell a story and when selected properly, it may be moved seamlessly from home-to-home and even from space-to-space. These particular homeowners proved to have an extensive collection of art from their previous home but did not have furniture selections that were as elevated as the art.

What’s not to love about this corner? Even our furry friend approves, perched atop custom ottomans in high performing fabrics.
Missed our initial Project Reveal? We’d love to hear your thoughts on this project and on starting a personal art collection in the comments below!
