Anyone who has ever shopped for upholstered furniture knows what a challenge it can be to choose the perfect fabric for a sofa! Well, did you ever wonder who gets to choose the fabrics that will be introduced into a furniture line? Recently, Martha and I saw first hand how the process works during a visit to the Century Furniture showroom in High Point and it was overwhelming! Fabric representatives dropped off piles of fabrics to be considered by Century’s showroom designers….

They were sorted and categorized. Color schemes were created. Bottom line, it was organized chaos! The craziest part is that in just a few short weeks the showroom will be transformed into a gorgeous showcase of all things beautiful in home furnishings!

In our studio, we literally have thousands of fabrics to choose from when creating the perfect design for our clients. Sadly, it never seems to be enough (and this is something my husband will NEVER understand)! A special thanks to our rep for taking the time to work with us in the showroom.
